Nominating

The Nominating Committee is responsible for submitting a slate of nominees for elected office (Western Province Bylaws, Article XXVIII).

The elected offices of the Western Province are:
  • Senior Province Vice Polemarch
  • Junior Province Vice Polemarch
  • Province Keeper of Records & Exchequer
  • Assistant Province Keeper of Records & Exchequer
  • Province Strategus
  • Province Lieutenant Strategus
  • Province Historian
  • Member, Province Board of Directors - Alumni (4 members)
    • 2 members from chapters inside the state with the largest delegate
    • 2 members from chapters outside the state with the largest delegate
  • Member, Province Board of Directors - Undergraduate (4 members)
    • 2 members from chapters inside the state with the largest delegate
    • 2 members from chapters outside the state with the largest delegate

Membership

The Committee shall consist of no more than one representative from each chapter represented at the Council, as selected by their respective chapters.

Submission Criteria and Guidelines
  1. Any member who desires to be a candidate for a province office, and who has not previously filed with the chairman of the Nominating Committee must file his consent and intention with the chairman of the Nominating Committee no later than 5:00 pm on the day of the Council's first business session.

  2. Candidates for undergraduate offices must have a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA, and must submit a current official transcript to the Province Keeper of Records and Exchequer by the close of the Council's first business session.

  3. Each candidate's chapter must be certified and credentialed by the Credentials Committee.
