Province Polemarch's Corner

Greetings Brothers of the Great Western Province,

I am extremely excited about the upcoming 2018-2019 fraternal year. We continue to support the Grand Polemarch’s Six Point Plan. Community Service, Infrastructure, Undergraduate Development, Reclamation, New Member Recruitment & Training, and Executive Leadership Training Succession continue to be at the cornerstone of Western Province programmatic thrusts.

We are pleased to see a resurgence amongst our undergraduate ranks. This year we re-established the Gamma Eta, Kappa Psi, Lambda Beta, and Theta Sigma Chapters. Plans are underway to re-establish the Delta Alpha, Iota Iota, and Xi Phi Chapters in 2019.

Speaking of 2019, the Tournament of Roses will kick off the New Year with Brother Gerald Freeney, Pasadena (CA) Alumni Chapter, serving as President of the Grand Daddy of them all. Brother Freeney is the first African American to serve as President in the 130 year history of the Tournament of Roses. Please join me in congratulating Brother Freeney on achieving this historic milestone.

The road to the 84th Grand Chapter Meeting runs through Tampa, Florida on its way to Philadelphia. I would encourage you to make plans to attend the 14th Annual National Founders’ Weekend in Tampa, January 4-6, 2019. Registration is now open on the national website.

The 72nd Western Province Council will be held April 3-7, 2019 in San Diego, California. The Doubletree Hotel – Mission Valley will serve as the host hotel. Delta Epsilon and San Diego Alumni Chapters are busily preparing for a Province Council that will be second to none.

Brothers, we have ambitious plans for the 2018-2019 fraternal year. With your assistance, we will reach and exceed our goals. Thanks for all you do on behalf of our Noble Bond.

Keep Achieving Nupes!!!
